Row By Row Experience "Free Pattern" phase ended September 5!

You have only until 9/5/17 to take advantage of picking up your free patterns (or kits of that pattern).  After this date, Row By Row Experience goes into its 'hibernation' period.   This is the time to make your row quilt (according to Row by Row guidelines) and submit it to any quilt shop that has NOT given away their prize!   See for full details.

The Fabric Garden participated in NASA Astronaut Karen Nyberg's Star Quilt Challenge.

Edward Murphy, late father of Fabric Garden owner Kala Murphy, made several contributions to the space industry.  During his career, he worked on many NASA projects including the Lunar Module (LEM), Space Shuttles and the International Space Station.

The photo below from the NASA website shows Edward Murphy during the beginning stages of the Lunar Module Production, in January 1964:

In honor of Edward Murphy, The Fabric Garden created this star block in his memory.

This quilt  block was included in the quilt created and put on display this fall at International Quilt Festival in Houston.

And thanks to those who shared their stellar block creations with us, including Janet Plant:
